As the Certificates required by the Colonial Regulations were transmitted to your Lordship in my Despatch of the 6th of July 1837, it is very possible that on their arrival the case of Mr. Jarman may have been similarly disposed of. Nevertheless, I enclose a Copy of the Minutes of the Executive Council of the 10th of May as bearing on the subject and explaining that intemperance was the cause of Mr. Jarman's resignation, which indeed was sent in with a view to save himself from dismissal.
